Our Pet Fashion Story

The Story Behind What d’Paw?

Becoming a fashion designer was always my dream. Life had its own timeline, but 30 years later, I returned to school and turned that lifelong dream into reality! In 2022, I graduated as Salutatorian from Wade College in Dallas, Texas, with a degree in Fashion Design & Product Development. It was proof that it’s never too late to follow your passion and bring your dreams to life.

What d’Paw? began with a little sparkle, a lot of fur, and one very special fashionista—my fur baby, Mochi! After entering her in a fashion show, I had a lightbulb moment: “Wait, I can totally design this!” That moment sparked the beginning of an exciting new adventure.

Inspired by Mochi, I began creating handcrafted pet apparel that blends creativity, individuality, flair, and love into every design. My vision is to create unique pieces that allow our beloved pets to express their personalities, turn heads, and stand out in style.

Mochi is the heart and inspiration behind it all. Without her, I might never have discovered this beautiful new direction for my passion for fashion.

What d’Paw? is more than pet fashion—it’s a dream 30 years in the making and a journey I never imagined would lead me to designing and creating pet apparel. What began as a lifelong dream of becoming a fashion designer blossomed into something wonderfully unexpected: a way to combine my love of fashion with the unconditional love we share with our fur babies.

It’s a love story told through design, a celebration of individuality, and a reminder that sometimes life’s unexpected paths lead us to exactly where we’re meant to be.
